Here at OceanSaver, you hear us go on and on…and on, about plastic waste. The reason we care so much about reducing plastic waste is due to the fact, we are now all aware of the fact that there is billions upon billions of items of plastic waste that is choking our oceans, lakes, and rivers.
There is a growing presence of tiny plastic particles that shred off of larger items such as plastic bags, bottles and clothing, these small particles are what we call MICROPLASTICS. According to UN News, “as many as 51 trillion microplastic particles—500 times more than stars in our galaxy—litter our seas, seriously threatening marine wildlife.”
That’s right, there is 500x more microplastics in the seas than in our galaxy!
So how can you help?
